1.Kagome's Erased Mind

"Inuyasha!" Kagome was sitting on a large rock by a small stream.Her black hair was blowing all over her face but her eyes were smiling.Inuyasha turned his head not really interested in any thing at all."Inuyasha? Are you listening to me? I said when are we going to start off again?" "Yeah," said Sango, " Inuyasha we have been here for two days. When are we going to leave?" Sango came out of the bushes with Kilala at her heels. Inuyasha didn’t answer, instead he just sat there deep in thought, looking into space. He had been thinking about Kikyo. He had been thinking about her a lot lately. "Inuyasha! Hello!" Kagome had appeared out of nowhere and started to shake Inuyasha. He snapped out of his daydream and jumped. He had not noticed Kagome right in front of him. "Wha… what? What do you want?" Inuyasha looked into Kagome’s eyes. They weren’t smiling any more. Kagome backed off of him. She stood up and picked up her bag. " Come on Shippo, we’re going." Kagome stormed off suddenly. "Um… Did I miss something?" Miroku said as he came out behind Sango. "Well, Kagome just stormed off suddenly. I don’t know what her problem is." said Inuyasha with a grunt. He got up and followed Kagome. "Are you coming or not?" He ran off after Kagome and Shippo and left Sango, Miroku, and Kilala. "Well let’s go then," Miroku said as he walked off. " Come on Sango we don’t have all day!" Sango looked at Kilala. "Men," she said under her breath then started to run after Miroku.

*What was that look in Inuyasha’s eyes* thought Kagome to herself. *The look was not right, like he wasn’t really alive* "Kagome? What are you thinking about?" asked Shippo. Kagome looked at him. *Little Shippo I would love to tell but your not old enough* Her thoughts were smashed to pieces when a scream echoed through her head. She quickly turned around to see Sango, screaming as a monstrous demon picked her up and blew fire at her face. There was a flash as Inuyasha used the Tetsusaiga to cut Sango free from the demon’s grasp. The demon let off a shrill cry as its limb dropped to the ground, but to everyone’s horror it quickly grew back.. Inuyasha stood frozen as he watched the gruesome sight. Sango took out her boomerang, ready to fight the demon if Inuyasha had one of his moments where he zoned out. Shippo ran and hid behind Kilala. Miroku ran beside Sango and took hold of his prayer beads. As Kagome started to run to Inuyasha’s side, the demon reached out one of its many arms and grabbed her. Then it jumped into the air and flew off. Inuyasha woke from his trance and screamed, " KAGOME!" Then he ran off after the creature, fuming with rage. Sango and Miroku jumped onto Kilala’s back. "Wait for me!" cried Shippo as Sango quickly turned around and grabbed Shippo by the tail. Inuyasha jumped furiously through the trees, trying to catch up with the demon. Kagome’s screams could be heard miles away in a normal world but they were as silent as death as the demon pierced her stomach with its sharp claws. She let off a silent cry after it pulled out its massive claws from her stomach. The demon dropped her ten feet and she hit the ground with a light thud. Inuyasha saw this and ran toward her. *I’m going to die* thought Kagome. Inuyasha slowly came into her view. "Don’t die Kagome!" Inuyasha almost screamed as he said this. Kagome looked into his eyes. *Her eyes are getting cloudy* thought Inuyasha. "KAGOME!" Shippo screamed as he saw her limp body. He looked at her with tears streaming down his face. All of a sudden Shippo’s eyes grew ten times as he noticed the large slash on Kagome’s stomach. "Ka…. Kagome?!" Miroku had stopped about five feet from her. He dropped to his knees. Although he didn’t love her passionately, he still cared. Sango took one look at Kagome and turned to hide behind Kilala. "Why have you done this you beast?!" Inuyasha screamed. The demon turned to look at Inuyasha. "I, Ichi-de, have done my job here. Now I must leave." The demon turned and before Inuyasha could do anything more, the demon was wrapped in blue flames and vanished. "Inu…Inuyasha!" Shippo ran over to Inuyasha and tugged on his clothes. Inuyasha looked down at Shippo then followed his finger as it pointed to Kagome. Kagome had lifted off the ground and was continuing to rise. A white cloudy material enveloped her. "KAGOME!" cried Inuyasha. He watched as she floated up-wards. *What’s going on! I can’t see! * Kagome thought. "Kilala! Bring me up to her!" Sango yelled. Kilala took her master and flew up to where Kagome was floating. Kagome had stopped now and just hung there in mid-air. Sango reached her hand out to get Kagome but was hit with an incredible force. Kilala and Sango started tumbling downward. Inuyasha saw them falling and caught Sango as Kilala landed on all fours. All of a sudden Kagome burst into millions of pieces right before everybody’s eyes. No one could believe it but Kagome was gone. Gone forever. "Kagome……" Inuyasha couldn’t stand it any longer and fainted on the spot.

Kagome Higurashi woke up on Saturday morning to a steady beeping. *Oh no! Not another day of high school* She got out of bed and got dressed. There was a knock at the door of her room followed by a voice. "Kagome, get up! Time for school." The door opened slightly and a face of a woman appeared. "I’m almost ready mom. I’ll be downstairs in a minute!" Kagome replied. *Man! Why do I feel like something awful happened. * She thought. *Oh well it’s probably just a little symptom of sleepy-ness. Ooh… my stomach doesn’t feel too good. Maybe I need some breakfast. * She got her book bag and went down the stairs. Her mother had set out a nice breakfast for her and her brother Sota. " Hi Kagome," said Sota cheerily as he ate his toast, " How was your trip?" Kagome looked at her brother, confusion written all over her face. "What trip?" said Kagome, thinking it was just another of her brothers stories. " To the Feudal Era of course!" said Sota. "Sota, stop scaring your sister by making up silly stories and eat your breakfast, or you will be late for school," said Mrs. Higurashi. Grampa Higurashi came out of one of the rooms and sat down at the breakfast table. "Hello Gramps!" said Kagome cheerfully. Sota hugged Grampa and ran out the door with the family cat, Buyou following behind. "Well I better get going," said Kagome. "Thanks mom! Love you Gramps" And with that she ran out the door. Kagome saw Sota near the old well house. "Kagome, Buyou went into the well house!" Sota yelled at her. "Sota your not supposed to play by the well" Kagome said. "But…bu-" Sota was cut off as Buyou jumped into his arms. "Well I guess he’s not stuck down there now. Come on Sota, we have to go to school." said Kagome as she started to walk off.It was a long day of school for Kagome. Her schoolwork tired her out. She had piles of it as it was her first year of high school. After school, Kagome went to her brother’s school to walk him home. Sota came running out of school as cheerily as he had been that morning with his friends shouting their good-byes. Sota finally caught up to Kagome as she had started to walk off since it had taken him so long to say goodbye to all of his friends. " Kagome, why didn’t you answer me this morning? I asked you how your trip to the Feudal Era went," said Sota, obviously concerned. Kagome turned to Sota and held him by his shoulders. " Sota, I have no clue what the ‘Feudal Era’ is so would you PLEASE stop bugging me about it!" Kagome sighed and started walking again. *What’s happened to Kagome? Why doesn’t she remember the Feudal Era? * It was Sota who turned to Kagome this time and said," Does this name remind you of anything…Inuyasha?" Kagome tried to think, but the name just didn’t ring a bell. "No, sorry Sota, it doesn’t. Why do you keep asking me these stupid questions?" Sota looked up at Kagome as they walked and said seriously, " They aren’t stupid questions! They are real questions because you don’t seem to remember anything about what I AM talking about!" Sota quieted down. *No one seems to remember about Kagome’s travels except me…but maybe its better this way, you know, no more long trips and cover ups, and Kagome can start going out with guys from HER time. I won’t remind her about it anymore unless she asks. *
